AHEP and PAKMAYA Cooperation in Pastry Training
Alanya Hamdullah Emin Paşa University (AHEP) welcomed Pakmaya Demo Chef Yalcin Akçat within the scope of practice trainings in Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department.
Pakmaya, one of the leading companies in the industry, showed the importance of educating and developing young people to participate in the sector by attending a full-time study conducted with undergraduate and graduate students from the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at HEP University.
Students shared their appreciation for being involved in this kind of work while acquiring the opportunity to recognize various techniques and new materials in the field of pastry.
On the 8th of December, 2017, the students of AHEP University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, made a mosaic cake, pasta, truffle chocolate, salted yoghurt pastry using Pakmaya products together with Yalçın Chef. Also, Alanya's delicious avocados are used in making a pastry cream. Participants who exhibit visually appetizing, deliciously pleasing products have the opportunity to improve their creativity as well as learn new techniques.
At the end of this delightful and instructive activity, our university faculty members and staff have found the opportunity to taste delicious products that our students have prepared.
The products were presented to the participants of the aid concert organized by the University Social Activity and Responsibility Community (SASST) to support Leukemia Children's Health and Education Foundation (LÖSEV).
