MUTLU CHEFS GREAT ACHIEVEMENT

Pre-selection for Bocuse d’Or, one of the most prestigious cooking competitions in the world, took place in Istanbul Convention Center between Nov 24-25 as a part of 4th Sirha event, a grand meeting of the hotel, restaurant and culinary sector in Turkey.
Highly respected chef Rudolf Van Nunen served as the chairman of the jury of the Bocuse d’Or Academy Turkey pre-selections. A number of local and foreign successful professional of the sector also took part in the jury.
Mutlu Şevket Yılmaz, the owner of Alanya Seasons Restaurant and also an instructor of Applied Culinary Arts at Alanya Hamdullah Emin Paşa University, became one of the four finalists in the pre-selections of Bocuse d'Or Turkey 2016. The winner chef of the finals in Turkey in 2017, will get the chance to represent Turkey in both 2018 Bocuse d’Or European Selections and 2019 Bocuse d'Or World Championship.
Mutlu Şevket Yılmaz, winner of the Bocuse d'Or 2015 Turkey Selections, showed his success was not just a coincidence by representing Turkey in Bocuse d'Or European Competition on May 2016 in Budapest,.
Mutlu Şevket Yılmaz, who was prepared for the competition with the competition coach Thomas Borgan (Trondheim, Norway) and busboy Gokberk Pinar, proved that the success was an obvious result of meticulous and disciplined work. Gökberk Pinar is a sophomore at Alanya Hamdullah Emin Pasa University, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department.
