Another success from AHEP
The most prestigious cooking contest of the world, Bocuse d'Or Turkey Final, took place in Sirha Istanbul on November 18th, 2017.
Chef Mutlu Şevket Yilmaz, who is Alanya Hamdullah Emin Paşa University academic staff of Applied Kitchen Lessons and owner of Alanya Seasons Restaurant won the 2017 Bocuse d'Or Turkey Final. Mutlu Sevket Yilmaz, who won the Bocuse d'Or 2015 Turkey and represented our country in Budapest in May 2016, will represent our country in Turin, Italy, on 10-12 June 2018 in Bocuse d'Or European elections. Thus, Mutlu Şevket Yilmaz has succeeded to represent our country twice.
Mutlu Şevket Yılmaz, who attended the contest with his successful assistant Gökberk Pınar and contest coach Hülya Güler, showed that disciplined work and ambition would reach success. Gökberk Pınar continues his education as a third year student at Alanya HEP University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department.
The famous chef Rudolf Van Nunen, the president of Bocuse d'Or Academy Turkey, headed the jury of Bocuse d'Or Turkey. Many local and foreign jury members who have achieved successful and important works in the field were in the jury of the contest.
Mutlu Şevket Yilmaz, visited Prof. Dr. Mehmet Durdu Öner, the Rector of Alanya HEP University, on his return to Alanya. Öner congratulated him and wished the continuation of his achievements.
