NO STOPPING AHEP VOLUNTEERS

On the 3rd December,  Alanya Hamdullah Emin Pasa University (AHEP) Volunteer Club played a major role in activities that were held for disabled youngsters and children on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and International Volunteer Day.
On the 4th December 2016, AHEP Volunteer Club, led by the instructor of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, Chef Mutlu Şevket Yılmaz, prepared various recipes with “Alanya Avacado” for the Alanya International Noel Bazaar. The Noel Bazaar was held with the support of Alanya District Governorship, Alanya Municipality, Alanya Association of Tourism Managers and Directorship of Food, Agriculture and Livestock.
Last year, students from AHEP University Volunteer Club participated in the Noel Bazaar selling food  they prepared and donated the money they earned in the event to Alanya Rest Home.
In a statement, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts student, Berke Sivri, who was the head of AHEP Volunteer Club last year, said “International  Volunteer Day is an opportunity for us, the Alanya HEP University students, to emphasize the importance of volunteer events and to raise awareness of social responsibility. Social Responsibility Projects that we conduct with the support of our University and local resources make us feel happy and socially beneficial. We realize that problems, deficiencies and obstacles can be overcome with collaboration. The smiling faces of the children make us hopeful. We hope that in the future, we will continue to carry out these activities and help the ones in need as much as we can”.
