A Program Titled "Disaster Awareness Training and the Disaster Potential of Alanya" Was Held at Alanya University.
Alanya University hosted an important program aimed at raising disaster awareness as part of the Science Cafe events. AFAD Antalya Provincial Director Necmi Erçin participated as a speaker in the event titled “Disaster Awareness Training and Alanya's Disaster”, which was held with the intensive participation of academic and administrative staff and students.
Located at Alanya University Central Campus, Lecturer. See. In the program organized at the Şebnem Köseoğlu Conference Hall; disaster preparedness, risk management, individual and corporate responsibilities and the disaster risk profile of Alanya were discussed. Participants were informed about precautions to be taken before a disaster and the correct behavior patterns during a crisis.
Speaking at the program, AFAD Antalya Provincial Director Necmi Erçin emphasized that disasters are not limited to the moments they are experienced, and stated that awareness-raising and preparation efforts are of vital importance. Erçin particularly highlighted the role that universities and young people should play in disaster awareness.
Alanya University officials, on the other hand, stated that such scientific and social contribution activities aimed at raising disaster awareness will continue in the coming period. At the end of the program, a certificate of appreciation to AFAD Antalya Provincial Director Necmi Erçin for his contribution to the event was presented by Mr. Celalettin Ağralı, Deputy Secretary General of Alanya University.
